The 14th Annual Oklahoma Water Appreciation Day was held at the Oklahoma State Capitol on April 17, 2019. Participants included State, local and federal government agencies, academic groups, and environmental groups. All groups either study or regulate water quality, water quantity, or advocate water issues. Each entity showcased their involvement in managing, studying and improving Oklahoma's water resources
Government officials, teachers, students, lobbyists, the press, and the general public were in attendance. Notables included Ken Wagner, Governor Stitt's Secretary of Energy and Environment.
Most attendees were interested in ODM's rock display, photographs of mines, and our exceptional PowerPoint presentation highlighting our water management and reclamation efforts. Several took ODM brochures detailing our mission statement, coal and non-coal permitting and bond release process, blasting permit process, and the training program of the OMTI.
